TADASHI SHOJI

FALL 2014

This season, we find ourselves lost in an evening reverie, wandering a moonlit Moorish Palace, the expansive halls

embedded with tales of enchantment. Ornate architectural details, luxuriant textiles, and palatial soundscapes are

intimately linked to the mystery and romance of yesteryear. An elegant balance between antiquity and modernity,

the collection is designed for our au courant woman.

Exquisite textures of laser-cut micro suede, velvet-cut paillettes, and shimmering diamantés are paired with

effortless silhouettes. Dimensional crewel embroidery and corded embroidery on tulle are influenced by motifs

found in Moorish architecture. Bright, saturated colors lend themselves to the colored glazes of intricate tilework.

As stars shine in the black of night, they compass glittering road maps to the desert sky, inspiring women

who entice mystery and romance, reminiscent of an enchanting Moorish night.
