Vital Agibalow Biography
Vital Agibalow is an advertising / beauty / fashion / celebrity NYC based photographer, television personality and socialite. His photo work focuses on people, particularly A-list celebrities, Superstar fashion designers, celebrity supermodels and iconic influencers of the fashion industry. He is most widely known as the face of Hensel USA, the leader in the field of studio lighting, who launched him to an international platform after discovering him in 2008. Since then, he has incessantly gained notoriety in the realms of both professional and fashion photography with unmistakable forward momentum. Agibalow spent several years working abroad as a photojournalist in Germany, Holland, Switzerland and France, but has taken the fashion industry by storm through his portrait work of the iconic Anna Wintour (editor in chief of American VOGUE), Karl Lagerfeld (head designer and creative director for the fashion house CHANEL), Belgian-born fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and Isaac Mizrahi, best known for his eponymous fashion lines that runs deep in American culture.
Agibalow was born to a family of highly educated artists, where he was first introduced to photography in his grandmother’s portrait studio. As a young adult he spent summers working in tandem with his father, electric engineer, who was also a portrait photographer and was influenced by the work of his mother, a painter and economics engineer. After completion of his studies in high school, he earned a degree from the art department of the State University.
Fashion career
Upon graduation, Agibalow moved to bustling New York City in 1998 to make a name for himself as a fashion photographer and has since built a portfolio millions of aspiring photographers dream to emulate. He began by shooting for modeling industry giants including IMG, DNA, MARILYN, WOMEN, SUPREME , ONE, NEXT, FORD, WILHELMINA, ELITE, FUSION, MUSE, MC2, TRUMP and NEW YORK model managements.
His freelance work has grown to cover all facets of the industry from fashion shows and celebrity supermodels to editorials and ad campaigns for some of the industry’s biggest hitters. His clients include Victoria’s Secret, Disney, Marc Jacobs, Sephora, Calvin Klein and Lacoste. FashionTV did a feature on Agibalow for their website and he has appeared numerous times in the media for the likes of Fashion News Live at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and The Daily Front Row Magazine.
Throughout it all, Vital Abigalow’s hard work, dedication and passion behind the lens has warranted him a budding freelance career. While the diversity of Agigalow’s work has included editorial work from ELLE and Teen Vogue to Vogue , the thrust of his work has been his stunning portraits of many of today’s greatest fashion icons and supermodels.
